Obituary for Connor Thomas Springer

Connor Thomas Springer, age 4 of Murphy, NC passed away on or about Thursday, February 29th, 2024.

He was the son of Clay Springer and twin brother to Kessler Clay. Connor was a brilliant, kind and thoughtful little boy. He was very analytical, reading whole books, writing letters, counting to 100, and reciting all the colors in Spanish. He loved anything educational, anything with numbers or letters, coloring and drawing connect-the-dot puzzles. He loved being active, going on hikes with his brother and Dada, doing somersaults on the trampoline, and throwing balls. He was an avid Frisbee thrower for a 4-year-old.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother, Electa Duncan; his great-aunt, Judith Hayden; and his maternal grandmother, Ellen Lyons Gremling; all of Indianapolis, IN.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his Nana and Gramps, Anne Duncan and John Goldberg of Indianapolis; Grampa and Granny Cat and Auntie, Ken and Cathy Springer and Jan Springer of Indianapolis; Poppy, Tom Gremling of Murphy; Unkey Dave, David Gremling of Murphy; Aunt and Uncle, Jackie and Russ Larish of Knoxville; Gaga and Mimi, Laura and Marlene and Mr. Gary of Marble; many more loving and doting Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins; and a slew of best friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Dr. Al Heywood will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tom Gremling, David Gremling, Pierson Hughes, Paul Logsdon, John Goldberg, Mike Lomauro, David Duncan, and Chris Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be his Grampa, Ken Springer, and cousins Liam and Noah Logsdon.

The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 2 pm, Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
