Elbert Edwin Timpson, age 88 of Brasstown, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Elbert was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Lawerence and Annie Mae Stiles Timpson. He worked as a machinist at Clifton Precision. Elbert enjoyed being in his woodshop and aggravating his granddaughters. He loved being around his family. Elbert was a member of Hickory Stand United Methodist Church and was a United States Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ida Vivian Timpson; two brothers, Calvin and Wayne Timpson; and a sister, Wanda Timpson.
He is survived by his sons, Ed Timpson and Bert Timpson; his brothers, Frank, Larry and Johnny Timpson; his sisters, Berince Deuel and Kathy Parker; and his granddaughters, Brittany Timpson and Tiffany Timpson.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Hickory Stand United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Lee officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Stand United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Anderson, Brett McDonald, Blake McDonald, Mike Logan, Luke Logan and Steve Heberger.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the church prior to the service.
